CSRA Housing Inventory Has Reached a Five-Year High
The number of homes available for sale across the CSRA is now higher than it has been at any point during the past five years.
Several factors are contributing to this shift:
• Mortgage rates remain higher than many buyers expected.
• Economic uncertainty is causing some households to delay major decisions.
• Many homeowners are hesitant to sell because they do not want to give up the low mortgage rate on their current home.
Buyer activity has not kept pace with the number of homes coming onto the market, which has caused inventory to grow.
More inventory means more choices and more opportunities to compare homes, features, condition, and price.
However, well-priced homes in move-in-ready condition are still selling quickly. Buyers should be financially prepared and ready to act when the right property becomes available.
More choices create more competition.
Cleanliness, maintenance, presentation, and accurate pricing are essential. Buyers are comparing homes carefully, and properties that are not prepared or priced correctly may be overlooked.
The good news is that homes offering strong value and move-in-ready condition can still attract attention and sell quickly.
